Chile-Wine and Earth

Our apologies- One Moon is no longer offering this adventure (not adventurous enough!)
This adventure begins in beautiful and modern Santiago, Chile, and visits Vina del Mar,
Santa Cruz, and Valparaiso. Our guide will teach us about the important history of Chile
during walking tours of Santiago and Valparaiso. ( We'll be accompanied by a Chilean
guide each day.) We'll visit vineyards such as Concha y Toro (surely you've heard of this
one!) tasting the great wines and getting to know the warmth of Chile. Other days we'll
be enjoying leisurely hiking in the mountains, taking in the gorgeous Andes views and
learning about the uniqueness of the South American landscape.

We'll also enjoy a thrilling day of river-running on a guided rafting trip down the Maipo
river. We'll cross the Andes twice, venturing into Argentina to sample the wines of the
Mendoza area and to visit the highest peak in the Americas.

Later, in Chile, we'll have a chance to attend a rodeo, which is the national sport of
Chile, and very different than North American rodeo. We have specifically designed an
adaptable itinerary, allowing us to visit local markets and to be able to enjoy spur of the
moment, off the beaten path experiences. Our hotels will be three star or better, with no
